Jump Rope for Heart

Each February, all physical education classes participate in a national campaign called Jump Rope for Heart. This program is sponsored by the American Heart Association and is a time where students learn about the importance of heart health. Students learn how to jump rope, learn different tricks and activities that incorporate jumping rope and also learn why having a healthy heart is important when exercising. The school will also be raising money to go to the AHA to help young people who have heart conditions.

In 2018 TPS raised over $1,500 for the American Heart Association!!! This money will be donated to help those who are suffering from heart related illnesses and to help find a cure for these issues. Thanks to all who donated and participated in our Jump Rope for Heart unit!!
